Deck the Halls Winter Gardening Song Lyrics

Happy Holidays My Friends!

When it gets cold outside, we can still enjoy gardening, whether it’s preparing beds for spring, planting cold crops or planning what we’ll grow when the soil warms up. We got in the spirit by creating our own version of Deck the Halls, and included some dancing parsnips!

Lyrics:
Deck the garden with heaps of compost,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
‘Tis the season to prune the most,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
No more dirty, split finger nails,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
No more hornworms, no more snails,
Fa la la la la la la la la.

Plant a few cool season veggies,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Strike ye frost and freeze my tootsies,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Follow me in gardening dreams,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Covering crops from winter screams,
Fa la la la la la la la la.

Fast away I chit my taters,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Harvest parsnips but not tomatoes,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Look forward to the warmer weather,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Gardeners let’s all grow together,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Fa la la la la    la la la la la.
Yeah!
